Be greedy when others are fearful," which seems to advocate contrarianism. He is also an excellent CEO/leader. Since he has taken over the reigns of Geico, their rates have gone down and their customer service ratings have improved dramatically, so much so that my wife and I decided to switch to GEICO because they gave us a much cheaper rate for auto insurance than the other carriers, even Teacher's Insurance Plan.
